About Me
I have been teaching for 20+ years in local Derbyshire and Derby City secondary schools, including 10+ years as Head of Maths and a SLE (Specialist Leader of Education).
I completed my PGCE at the Institute of Education in London, where the difference between teaching and knowledge was explored in detail.
I am still a practicing teacher and always learning new and varied methods of teaching maths topics to students of all abilities. This also keeps me up to date with all curriculum changes.

One on One Lessons:
Each session costs £40/hour
I always work face to face, in and around Belper, as I find this helps with making better progress.
Independent work is always set between each session to help retain knowledge enabling the student to continue to move forward.
Initially I will visit the student and family to have a chat, understand the student's need and make sure everyone is happy. I would then go away and send a written plan before any firm commitment is agreed.
